For GlaxoSmithKline, Project Assignments has installed a new raw materials sampling booth facility at the Epping factory in Cape Town. The upgrade included new sample booths with glass walls and doors, iso panel ceilings, new HVAC system with laminar airflow, all small power and lighting, access control, fire detection and fire protection.
GSK has also engaged Project Assignments to upgrade certain areas of their fire protection, complete the Kardex installations in their warehouse and offices, make modifications to their boilerhouse, survey various buried services and install protective fencing in the finished goods store.
GC Rieber manufactures ready-to-use therapeutic foods (RUTF) for organisations such as UNICEF, who distribute the product to drought-stricken and disaster areas, to treat and prevent malnutrition. Project Assignments recently upgraded their Cape Town facility and is busy with additional enhancements to examine more efficient methods of production. Project Assignments shall also be assisting GC Rieber with an upcoming plant shutdown for maintenance, including a new filling line.
For BBI Enzymes, Project Assignments has been assisting with improvements to the horseradish peroxidase (HRP) area, by re-visiting the process design and plant layout.
